Misconduct

I witnessed a troubling encounter involving a couple stopped by Andrew Avila and Jasmine Aguilar, ordered out of their car, instructed to walk backward with hands behind their heads, face a wall, and ultimately placed in handcuffs. The stated reason for the stop kept changing, yet, in the end, no ticket was issued.

The scene left many questioning: if the situation warranted handcuffs, why was there no citation? Such incidents are reportedly frequent, prompting me to go to the station and file formal complaints for:

  • Biased policing
  • Illegal search
  • Handcuff protocol violation

Misconduct #2

Officers Andrew Avila and Anthony Lavigne over a driver leaving a local sandwich shop for failing to turn on their headlights. The officers conducted a pretextual stop, during which they removed the driver from the vehicle and proceeded to conduct a thorough search of the vehicle, including checking under the hood.

Following the exhaustive search, they ordered the driver back into the street, and then made him stand in the street with his hands held behind his head they delivered an extended lecture before releasing him without issuing a citation.
