LAPD Sergeant Angel Bonilla falsely arrested a man who was filming LAPD officers detaining a teenager.
Even though the subject provided plenty of space, Sergeant Bonilla insisted the man stop following the officers as they transported the teenager to a police car. After the subject continued documenting the police interaction, Sergeant Bonilla then illegally detained and falsely arrested the man for 148 (a)(1) PC (interfering with a police investigation).
Complaint still pending as of October 2024.
