On February 10, 2024, at La Poubelle restaurant, located at 5911 Franklin Ave, a woman was battered by a restaurant employee. The incident occurred while the woman was filming; the employee approached her, reached out of the tent, and struck her in the chest.
Officers David Doyle and Alexander Henry responded to the battery hours later. When the woman requested a private person’s arrest, the officers attempted to shift blame onto her. They ultimately refused to facilitate the private person’s arrest.
The following day the victim filed a crime report at the Hollywood division station.
