On February 9, 2024, during a community day event, Senior Lead Officer Edward Kellogg had a contentious confrontation with a community activist. During this interaction, Officer Kellogg falsely accused the activist of being a murderer. Such a libelous accusation by a member of law enforcement could potentially put a community member at physical risk.
Shortly thereafter, Senior Lead Officer Kellogg then began asking the activist how many times the police had been to his house. Kellogg then began making multiple baseless insinuations suggesting that the community activist is physically abusive toward his wife and family.
