On September 2, 2022, Officer Arlenne Martinez violated LAPD policy by refusing to provide her serial number when requested, as well as knowingly providing false information to the complainant.
Despite multiple attempts by the complainant to obtain this information, Officer Martinez ultimately supplied a false serial number, claiming it was 45109.
However, that number actually belonged to another officer, Colin Fathauer. It was only through facial recognition technology that her true serial number, 44517, was confirmed.
