Gustavo Barrientos: Police Chief’s Scandalous Past
For LAPD Lieutenant (and current Sierra Madre police Chief) Gustavo Barrientos received sustained complaints for inappropriate remarks and behavior, including:
Flirting and expressing a desire for a romantic relationship with a female officer. He made personal comments and physical gestures that made female officers uncomfortable.
Involved an explicit remark where Barrientos allegedly stated he wanted to see a female officer wearing only a Sam Browne belt and wrestling in oil.
Making inappropriate comments in front of other supervisors.
