Police Mistake 6'5" Man for 5'10" Suspect

A man waiting for his Uber was handcuffed by LAPD officers Wolfchief and Choi, who claimed he matched the description of a suspect they were searching for. The problem? The suspect was 5’10”, while the man is 6’5”. It’s hard to imagine how such a height difference could be overlooked.

Complaints were filed against the officers for:

  • Unlawful detainment
  • Out-of-policy handcuffing
  • Biased policing
