LAPD Officer III Ralph Campos, a police union treasurer and board member, co-owns Green Knight Security with convicted felon and former LAPD officer Steven Michael O’Neal, violating LAPD policies against associating with felons and working for private security firms.
A complaint against Campos led to the LAPD sustaining the violation related to his company ownership but failing to resolve the issue of his association with O’Neal.
Concerns about a conflict of interest have also arisen, as Green Knight Security received over $466,000 from the police union in 2021 and 2022
