Peter Bueno

On March 3, 2015, Officer Peter Bueno along with other officers, conducted an unlawful search of a residence and detained multiple occupants without cause, both of which violated departmental policy. During the investigation:

1. The Use of Force Review Board and Chief of Police determined that Bueno’s actions, along with other officers’, were inconsistent with legal standards and departmental protocols.
2. Bueno’s conduct during the search was found to lack sufficient justification (no warrant, exigency, or consent), leading to the unlawful entry and detainment.

As a result:

• Bueno’s actions were classified as sustained misconduct.
• He received an Official Reprimand
