In 2019, LAPD Detective Ryan Caplette was arrested and charged with 75 misdemeanor counts for allegedly making secret recordings in a men’s restroom at Angel Stadium while off duty. The charges include 37 counts of peeping, 37 counts of secretly videotaping, and one count of loitering. A man caught Caplette filming him in the restroom and placed him under citizen’s arrest. Investigators later found additional recordings of other victims, including 37 at the stadium and others at undisclosed locations.
