Detective Makes Threat of Unlawful Arrest

A woman went to the police station following a battery situation. When talking to detective Robert Rand, he told victim that she was not allowed to film inside of the police station.

He told her that violated 428(g) of the California penal code. Unfortunately, the penal codes makes no such claim. In fact, 428(g) explicitly says that you have the absolute right to film police interactions, and that it does not violation 428 (a).

I confronted the detective and then filed a complaint against him for refusing to allow the victim to exercise her First Amendment rights.
